Review:

What a treat. We were in the area exploring the Great Ocean Road and asked a local where we should have dinner. He recommended the Aire Valley Restaurant so I rang and booked. At 7pm we rolled up, parked in the car park and walked through a lovely garden to the front door. We were greeted by Martin who showed us to our table. He made us feel as if we had come to visit friends. The indoor part of the restaurant is very comfortable and warm, the big old world fire place sets the mood for a very romantic dinner. The views from the veranda are fantastic (even tho it was dark next time we're coming to see it during the day). Being a chef I could not fault the meals and I can tell a lot of effort is put into serving fresh local and home grown produce. Even the peppermint tea was out of the garden. We both had racks of lamb which were cooked perfectly and the gravy was clearly made with passion. The dessert (crème caramel) was also of a high standard. Great effort guys, your passion really shows and you meals are of a world class standard. We will visit you again.
