Review:
I had one of the most memorable meals I've had in a while at Bistro Molines at Tallavera Grove Vineyard in the beautiful wine area of Mount View in the Hunter Valley.
I couldn't resist the baked figs wrapped in prosciutto with wild rocket and gorgonzola cream which were absolutely divine. Followed by a beef fillet that was so mouth-watering, tender and full of flavour; accompanied by baby brussells sprouts, tiny new potatoes, speck, caramelised onions with red wine jus and Bernaise on top - surperb. My husband and I lingered for awhile, listening to some excellent background music, enjoying the spectacular views from the verandah while we sipped our red wine.
I could not miss dessert, so wisely chose the quince tart Tatine with praline and house made ice-cream which was a beautiful combination of flavours and textures.
The menu is inspiring and shows a real dedication to showcasing the best seasonal produce, plus the service is brillant. It's fine dining in a relaxed atmosphere - all up a unique experience that I will definitely do whenever I can.
