Review: This lodge has the perfect blend of understated good taste, exceptionally personal service and fantastic dining - all in a simply stunning location. It all makes you feel like you are having the most wonderfully special holiday, where you can choose to do as much or as little as you like. We chose to do lots, including the rigorous 9hr climb up Mt Gower. The delicious massage we indulged in the next day at the lodge made the pain worthwhile. Lord Howe Island is such a magical oasis out in the middle of the ocean, that you feel a million miles from home - the natural beauty is truly exceptional and I only hope it continues to be a special place that only the lucky few get to discover.
