Review:

We stayed at the Nusa Dua Beach Hotel. To be honest you don’t get to see much of the real “Bali/Indonesia” whilst staying in a Luxury Collection 5 star resort – but that’s not what we came for. We wanted to make the really hard decisions: Pool/beach? Library/bar? Cocktail/beer? And it was fantastic! I have to make a special mention of the day spa… Picture yourself walking down some weathered cement stairs past slightly moss covered walls into an opening that features a deep blue 25m lap pool flanked with the comfiest banana chairs and the fluffiest towels. There is soft Balinese music playing in the background and you immediately have a sense of Zen and calmness. You know you’re going to love the next couple hours… Upon arriving you are shown into your private cabana/treatment room for a pre-treatment shower. You are given the cutest wicker slippers and Balinese style dressing gown and asked to take a few more minutes to relax before your treatment begins. Every detail is accounted for - from the volume of the music to the colour of the crystals/rocks you wish to see in your bowl whilst being massaged. They also have a wide choice of oils, spa underwear and even the speed of the fan – the whole experience has been meticulously pre-planned for your supreme enjoyment. Once your treatment is finished, you shower again, are taken to the spas outside the café area for freshly squeezed juice and are encouraged to use the spa baths, sauna or lap pool to round off your experience. A truly memorable experience...and let’s not forget how friendly and courteous the Indonesians are either! Nusa Dua Day Spa gets 5 out of 5 stars! Even my partner thoroughly enjoyed it – men need pampering too! P.S. The website does not do the place justice! You will just have to go and see it for yourself!
