Review: It was our first visit to Pearl and from my two telephone calls prior to the dinner, I had high expectations, the staff were professional. The food did not disappoint, for entree I had the burrata, my dinner partner had the tartare and for the main I had the beef cheek and he the rib eye; both were sensational. Dessert was not a complete winner, I had the orange blossom, the leatherwood nougat was divine, but the labne didn't appeal or seem fitting. Cheese was served with a carrot and apple salad that was overpowered with cumin and didn't balance with the delicate cheeses served. The service was good but not as good as I had expected: we had to ask for drinks to be topped up and a wine that should have been decanted was not, there were also a few other issues that most people would probably not have noticed. All in all a memorable experience.
