It’s time, once again, for the Gourmet Traveller Travel Awards, in association with Nespresso.
Each year, our panel of travel writers, photographers and other industry professionals nominate their favourite places, properties and tourism operators around the nation, and these nominations are crunched to a short list of the top four contenders in each category.
The nominations in 2013 are testament to the depth and breadth of experiences across this wide brown land, and include boutique city hotels, outback experiences, wine regions and cultural attractions.
We also cast an international eye over airlines and cruise ships. This year, to reflect the growing Australian obsession with life at sea, we’ve carved the cruise categories into three – luxury, expedition and river cruising.
You have six weeks to cast your votes.
As an added incentive, one voter will win an unforgettable Singapore escape, including five nights’ accommodation at a Mr & Mrs Smith boutique hotel and return flights with British Airways. To be in the running, cast your vote, then tell us in 25 words or fewer where you plan to holiday in Australia this year, and why. The winning entry will be announced in our June issue.
