The Red Feather Inn cooking classes are fantastic. Lee Christmas is a great asset and talented chef.

The Agarian Kitchen as well in Lachlan near New Norfolk 30 mins outside Hobart. Rodney Dunn and his merry band of tassie talantled masters have a great many courses on offer. Great relaxing and informative day

If your down in Tassie, make sure you grab a bite at Bellini Restaurant on the Seaport. It will make a nice change to have the meal prepared for you. www.mybellini.com

Hi - cannot recommend highly enough The Agrarian Kitchen - did two courses with Rodney & Severine and their associated artisans last year (Secrets of Sourdough & The Whole Hog) - it is the best value in Australia and they are magnificent with their time & expertise - check out all their courses on the web - you won't be disappointed - have fun !

Hi, I have just heard about a new cooking school in Tasmania called The Spotted Duck Cooking School. It is run by Giovanna Mazzella who used to own The Cairns Cooking School. She runs the classes at her Bed & Breakfast called Alexandria in Wynyard, North West Tasmania. Classes are starting in August 2011. The web site is: www.thespottedduckcookingschool.com.au.
I have just come back from 2 weeks in Tassie and stayed at Alexandria and met Giovanna. It is a georgous place and she is lovely. I look forward to going to one of her classes in September when the Tulip festival is on there.
