Automata opening in Singapore

One of Sydney’s hottest restaurants is about to branch out in Asia.

Bread and butter pudding

Just what you need on a cold winter's night; a bowl of luscious pudding. Make sure to leave room for seconds.

Feta and greens gozleme

A lot of rolling and folding go into making this Turkish flatbread, but when you bite into them all the hard work will be forgotten. The traditional filling is silverbeet, but we've added kale and fresh herbs for fragrance and flavour. A good sprinkle of salt at the end and a squeeze of lemon are non-negotiable. Start this recipe a day ahead to rest the dough.

Sydney's Neighbourhood café is giving away free coffee

Seán McManus

Seán McManus

To celebrate a year of serving what is, in our mind, some of Sydney's best coffee, Neighborhood by  Seán McManus in Surry Hills is giving back to its loyal customers tomorrow (May 12) by offering free coffee to one and all from 6.30am until 3pm.

"We appreciate all the hands that have made Neighbourhood what it is today," said McManus on Instagram. "I'll be down there slingin' 'chinos till the cows come home." We appreciate your deft ways with espresso and steamed oat milk, Seán. Head down to the tiny space just up from Central station on Buckingham Street for your fix, free of charge and wish them happy birthday while you're there.

Neighbourhood by Seán McManus, 16b Buckingham St, Surry Hills, NSW. Open 6.30am-3pm Mon-Fri facebook.com/Nieghbourhoodbsm/
