Little Sydney 2015

Last year we introduced Little Sydney - Randwick's answer to Flemington's Birdcage - to The Championships at the Sydney Autum Racing Carnival. The reception was so sweet that we're bringing it back next autumn for another two days of race-day fun with a side of great eating, drinking and all-round glamour.

In case you missed it, the 2014 event featured five marquee versions of Sydney's hottest restaurants - IcebergsChiswick and Longrain among them.

"It was such a great event and a really successful first year," says Chiswick's Matt Moran. "I think showcasing Sydney's food and wine scene trackside is such a great concept. The atmosphere was fantastic, it was really well organised and I think it's just going to keep getting better year on year."

Icebergs and Chiswick are making a comeback in 2015, alongside a new addition: Woolloomooloo favourite China Doll. "It's always fun and challenging to undertake a project like this," says chef Frank Shek, "but we aim to deliver the same premium quality food and service you would expect from dining with us at Woolloomooloo and maybe something a little extra."

Next year's marquees will be bigger and better than ever, with glass panels facing the Theatre of the Horse, pop-up bars, screens to catch the action on the racetrack and TAB facilities for maximum punting. And if last autumn was anything to go by, we can guarantee the glam factor will be set on high beam. We'll see you there.

Little Sydney will be held over two consecutive Saturdays: 4 and 11 April at Royal Randwick, Sydney, NSW. The cost of $450 per person includes entry to the track, all food and drinks, and more. For details and to book visit the Australian Turf Club's website.
