Fred's flies to Melbourne to fundraise

A bloody good dinner for a bloody good cause.

Merivale CEO, Justine Hemmes will fly Danielle Alvarez, head chef of Merivale's Fred's, along with her team, down to Melbourne for a one-night only dinner at Melbourne's historic Meat Market Pavilion. Hemmes has joined forces with The Snowdome Foundation and Maddie Riewoldt's Vision, both working to raise money to support research for cutting-edge blood cancer and bone marrow failure treatments. With Hemmes losing his father to an incurable form of blood cancer and Nick Riewoldt, co-founder of Maddie Riewoldt's Vision, losing his sister to bone marrow failure, both are determined to raise awareness and funding for these diseases.
The event will be the first chance for those in Melbourne to taste Alvarez's farm-found, seasonal cuisine, with the menu exclusively designed for the night. A number of Melbourne based businesses and providores have donated their time, goods and support to work with Alvarez in making it a memorable event. Surprise special guests will speak and an auction on a range of exclusive experiences will be up for grabs, including a meet and greet with Guy Grossi of Grossi Florentino, plus a private dinner for eight with matched wine.
The goal is to raise $300,000, with all profits going towards a world-first medical research project that is focused on treatments for bone marrow failure and blood cancer patients.  
Not that you need one, but what a great excuse to experience the magic of Fred's.
