Feeling a little uninspired now that Don Draper rarely graces the TV screen? Perhaps H&M has the cure. In celebration of classic masculine style, the clothing retailer is hosting Sydney bar The Baxter Inn at its Pitt Street Mall store for one night only for an evening of cocktails, menswear and art.
Known for its generous whisky collection and rollicking vibe, the Baxter has come to be regarded as one of the best bars in the country, making regular appearances on The World's 50 Best Bars list, and winning a substantial fan base. We're putting our money on seeing some whisky cocktails at this H&M pop-up, while the food will include sliders.
The Baxter's move into the limelight of fashion is outside the modus operandi of the Swillhouse Group, which, with Shady Pines Saloon, Frankie's and Restaurant Hubert also to its name, specialises in basement venues with low street profile.
But it'll be in good, beardy company in this particular outing, with manscaping specialists Men's Biz on hand with a grooming station and expert advice on all things facial. Musician and producer Manu Crooks will MC the event, and there'll also be a live art demonstration by tattoo artist and painter Mayonaize.
Time to shine your shoes and slick back that hair for an evening of all things men's style
