Join Gourmet Traveller WINE at the Langham Melbourne Masterclass on Saturday 20 and Sunday 21 March 2010 for serious tastings at the Acqua Panna Global Wine Experience and fun sessions at the new Wine Retreat.

The Acqua Panna Global Wine Experience held in conjunction with Gourmet Traveller WINE unites world-class Australian winemakers, writers, sommeliers and some of Italy's hottest producers. The wine-obsessed are sure to enjoy some fascinating wine insights in sessions variously titled "2007 Burgundy - The Best of the Best & The Best of the New", "Piedmont Under the Microscope - the Babes of Barolo and Barbaresco", and "Great Wines of the World from a Great Cellar". Sessions run at 10.00am and 2pm on both days.

New to Langham Melbourne Masterclass, the Wine Retreat held in conjunction with Gourmet Traveller WINE, brings lovers of good drops up close and personal with the world of wine. These intimate gatherings will traverse the world of Champagne, prosecco, cava and other bubbles in a sparkling all-female wine-expert session; a food-and-wine extravaganza centred on Mediterranean produce dished up by Andrew Blake; Gourmet Traveller WINE's own Nick Stock letting us in on who and what is hot; and sommelier and pinotphile Sally Humble (Cutler & Co.) on what makes great pinot noir and how to get your hands on it. Sessions will be held  at The Langham, Melbourne, 1 Southgate Avenue, Southbank, Melbourne. Tickets to the Langham Melbourne MasterClass cost $320 full day, $595 weekend. Individual Global Wine Experience sessions can be purchased $160 each.
