The latest addition to Frank Camorra's MoVida empire is no mere clone of the original, repackaged for the CBD's legal precinct. The spacious room, with its large central kitchen and bar, walls of windows and large terrace (sporting the café-like MoVida Terazza) differentiates itself from the more compact mothership, but it's the menu, which emphasises grill cooking and large, shared rice dishes, that really sees Aqui treading its own path. Tapas lovers are well served, with intricate tastes such as fresh sea urchin served in the shell with torn sorrel or a consommé afloat with cuttlefish, while raciones might include a Catalan-style pork and pepper sausage. There's also char-grilled quail, grilled seafood and paella, perhaps with rabbit, salt cod and artichokes. Add crack service and a well-focused wine list and you have one MoVida giving another a run for its money.
