Andalusian Buck

This has been adapted from a recipe by Jeffrey Morgenthaler of Clyde Common in the States.

You'll need

1 tsp demerara sugar syrup (see note) 30 ml gin 30 ml Amontillado Sherry 1 tbsp freshly squeezed lime juice To top: ginger beer To garnish: lime wedge

  • 01
  • Shake all the ingredients, except the ginger beer, with ice, then strain into a goblet or highball glass. Fill with ice, top with ginger beer and garnish with a lime wedge.
Note To make demerara sugar syrup, combine two parts demerara sugar to one part boiling water, stirring until the sugar is dissolved. This recipe is from Recipes for a Good Time (RRP $59.95) by Elvis Abrahanowicz & Ben Milgate, published by Murdoch Books, and has been reproduced with minor Gourmet Traveller style changes.
