"Eating elegance" encapsulates the mood of this oh-so slightly Parisienne side-street addition to the Potts Point dining scene. Poised members of an almost all-female floor team detail the plats du jour and compliment your choice of Provençal rosé. This Miss exudes Gallic tradition, executed with care over flair. The signature Pithiviers (aka pie) may be slow-braised pulled pork on a bed of bright-green petit pois, or duck, moistened with meaty jus. Steak tartare combines finely chopped beef with trad DIY accompaniments, while a tarte au citron is admirable in its intensity. Potts Pointers approve of the subdued designer décor and matching mosaic floor, the perfectly placed white flowers and paper-topped cloths, but wriggle somewhat uncomfortably on the banquette. Champagne flows at lunch on the weekend, and the rest of the time the French-Australian list covers the spread nicely. Think little black dress - at once timeless and modern.
