Our restaurant critics' picks of the latest and best eats around the country right now: Good France.

There will be a lot of happy Francophiles come March 19 as Good France - an international festival celebrating French gastronomic flair - takes over restaurants around the globe, with more than a thousand chefs on five continents dishing up set menus simultaneously.

Superstar chef Alain Ducasse founded Good France with the aim of putting his homeland's cuisine back at the top of the international culinary agenda. Here in Australia, 33 restaurants are getting in on the act, including the likes of Rockpool and Guillaume in Sydney, Print Hall in Perth, Dandelion in Melbourne and E'cco in Brisbane.

Each restaurant will offer a set menu spotlighting French cuisine in all its diversity, from the fancy (Guillaume's marron with pork cheek, radish, cauliflower and sea spray), to the more laid-back (Felix's seared-tuna Niçoise).

The full list of participating Australian venues can be found on the Good France website.
