Service glides along as smoothly as the million-dollar yachts moored outside this upmarket Italian restaurant. A split-level dining room ensures everyone can enjoy a Broadwater view – pure Gold Coast. An extensive menu makes decisions difficult but, rest assured, you’re unlikely to be disappointed. A rustic entrée of Napoletana ragù tossed through twisted egg pasta and topped with a generous serve of ricotta is a shining example of a simple dish done well. A bowl of petite tortellini filled with a delicate mix of chicken and asparagus is equally good for a main course, enhanced by a velvety cream sauce with pancetta and thinly sliced asparagus spears. All that’s missing is some crusty bread to mop the bowl. Desserts are Italian classics with a twist – the liqueur-laced semifreddo studded with marinated prunes is worth returning for. So is the impressive Italian-focused wine list.
