I'm hosting a garden party for my birthday this weekend and though I'd share my menu with fellow foodies. The food theme is 'grown up kids party' and I have my best friend (a chef) and mum (visiting from NZ - unfortunately a terrible cook) helping me prep.

On the menu we have:
- Chicken & rocket sausage rolls
- Sonoma baguette hollowed out & stuffed with various fillings (goats curd, marinated eggplant, chargrilled capsicum etc) and sliced into chunks
- Asian noodle salad (served in takeaway boxes)
- Mini frittatas
- Caramel popcorn
- Grown up chocolate crackles (made with Rolo's)

Would love to hear what other GT-ers have served up recently.

Recently me and my partner had a few friends over to watch the footy and I made a daggy menu of:
* homemade sausage rolls
* mini hamburgers
* mini hotdogs
Daggy food but I used good quality ingredients..

My last dinner party was Greek - roast capsicum & feta terrine; saganaki with fennel, lemon, parsley & olive salad; moussaka, chicken, olive, capsicum & feta filo pie, olive oil & tomato braised green beans; then I cheated for dessert & we had bought Greek biscuits & a fruit platter. The saganaki was the best thing - the salad with it made all the difference!

Can't go pass tapas for a semi-formal dinner party. Grab the Movida book and whip up a selection of great tasting tapas. Accompanied with some good wine and/or pear cider of course.

I love your grown up kids menu BakingDrawerDiva. I did a course at a party once along a similar theme - they were a real hit. Mini gourmet hotdogs. Just cooked chipolatas and put them in those little half baked rolls you get from the supermarket and topped with my own homemade tomato relish.

I don't think I have ever been to a garden party before. I will have to start it with my group of friends. I would love to hear more about the food choices.
