The Glass

This trendy new café, just off the Via Veneto, doubles in the afternoon and evening as an aperitivo bar and restaurant, but the feather in its cap is its sumptuous 'American buffet' breakfast. A mind-boggling selection of home-baked pastries - brioches, petite patisserie, cakes, fruit tarts, chocolates - fruit juices and savoury nibbles, all served with excellent espresso coffee and cappuccino, plus all the other classic Italian morning beverages. If you're late out and about, check out the brunch, which is just as good. And don't miss the spectacular view from the roof garden.
