Congratulations to Amy Northey of Perth, who has won a trip for two to Tuscany in GT's Australian Hotel Guide readers' choice awards competition. Sponsored by British Airways and boutique hotel specialists Mr & Mrs Smith, the prize includes BA Club World business-class flights to Italy and six nights at two Smith-recommended hotels: Castello di Casole, near Siena, and Il Salviatino, in Florence.

Our inaugural guide, launched in June and sponsored by Nespresso, features Australia's 50 finest hotels. We invited readers to vote in five categories.

Two hotels got double gongs from readers: Crown Towers in Melbourne was judged Best City Hotel and Best Hotel Spa; Lake House in Daylesford, Victoria, won Best Hotel Restaurant and Best Regional Hotel. Sheraton Noosa Resort & Spa has readers' vote for Best Hotel Pool.

Runner-up Kate Angel, of Adelaide, wins a Nespresso Breville Inissia Ruby Red with an Aeroccino3 milk frother.
