Double-Six Luxury Hotel, Seminyak, Bali

To some, it's a stylish new 146-room hotel on Double Six Beach. To Robert Marchetti, it's more like an "entertainment precinct with rooms". The restaurateur has designed five eating and drinking venues in the new Double-Six Luxury Hotel, Seminyak. A trattoria called Seminyak Italian Food fronts the beach, and the Lagoon Bar fronts a pool circled by gelato carts. The Double-Six Rooftop is billed as one of Asia's biggest rooftop bars, with tiki-style cocktails and a "silent" cinema (patrons wear headphones). And due to open this month are a Prohibition-styled restaurant with the unwieldy title Robert Marchetti The Plantation Grill, serving dry-aged meats, line-caught seafood, and Martinis till 2am in the Sling Bar. Rooms from $450.
