Sakti Ritual, Fivelements, Bali

Fivelements has quickly gathered a reputation for being one of Bali's premier spa experiences. Checking in for its two-hour Sakti Ritual ($158), I make my way to a treatment room perched on the banks of the Ayung River. Suniti, my therapist, gives me a foot bath and leg massage on the balcony. In the room, it's time for a deep-muscle, relaxation body massage; Suniti has hands that work magic soothing cranky muscles. A crystal sea salt exfoliation infused with holy basil and lemongrass comes next. As Suniti works the salt over my body, its uplifting scent fills the room. The finishing touch is a bath ritual. The bath is filled with such "healing" ingredients as lemongrass for circulation, orange, lime, pandan and ginger to reinvigorate. I feel tranquil, yet re-energised.
