"I've made all kinds of fancy cheesecakes in my time, but nothing really beats the classic combination of strawberries and almonds with a boost from vanilla bean," says Stone. "I could just pile macerated strawberries on top, but why not give your tastebuds a proper party by folding grilled strawberries into the cheesecake batter too? Cheesecakes are elegant and my go-to for celebrations because they taste best when whipped up a day in advance."

GT readers voted for their favourite hotels in our 2015 Hotel Guide Readers' Choice Awards. Here are the results.

Tina Kelsey from McDowall, Qld, is the winner of our 2015 Hotel Guide Readers' Choice Awards competition and will be on her way to London, thanks to Mr & Mrs Smith and British Airways. Our runner-up prize, a Nespresso Lattissima Touch, was taken home by Gary Freak from Port Pirie, SA.

In this year's competition, readers were given the chance to vote for their favourite hotels in five categories. Park Hyatt Sydney took home the award for Best City Hotel, Lake House was awarded both Best Regional Hotel and Best Hotel Restaurant, Langham Sydney won for Best Hotel Pool, and Crown Towers Melbourne was voted the Best Hotel Spa.

GT also gave out twelve Editors' Choice Awards, ranging from Best Minibar and Best Club Sandwich to Best Service and Hotel of the Year.
