I like to start my day with a clear mind so stretching and meditation play a big role in my routine. Then it’s time for coffee, the morning news and a run along the seawall through Coal Harbour. The wall basically starts at the doorstep of my favourite hotel, The Fairmont Pacific Rim, and it’s a great route to take in some of the prettiest views of the city and the clean, crisp morning air.

The best coffee comes from Giovane Café. The iced Americanos are my favourite.

I get around the city in my new matte-black Lamborghini Huracán.

After a day in the studio I reach for a glass of British Columbian pinot noir. My favourite comes from local producer Tyler Harlton.

A night on the town starts with an icy Margarita at Local Public Eatery in Kitsilano. Next stop is wine and pizza at The Parlour in Yaletown, then cocktails at Pierre’s Champagne Lounge.

For the latest fashion Nordstrom in the Pacific Centre Mall has everything under one roof. Gastown is more intimate and has one of the best denim shops, called Dutil.

For lunch with friends I head to La Taqueria in East Vancouver for Al Pastor tacos, then the rooftop patio at the Hotel Georgia for drinks if it’s sunny.

When it’s raining we call it liquid sunshine. I put on a rain jacket and head above the clouds on a drive up the Sea to Sky Highway to Whistler.

I hit the slopes at Big White Ski Resort outside Kelowna. It’s the best hill in the region for snowboarders. After the snow I grab a smokie (sausage) and a cold Okanagan Spring 1516 beer and warm up by the fire pit.

Outside the city I love hiking between cellar doors in the Okanagan Valley. It’s four hours’ drive east of Vancouver and the wines are beautiful. I always stop at Miradoro at Tinhorn Creek Winery for the grilled cheese sandwich. You can’t underestimate such a humble dish.

Vancouver has award-winning restaurants, amazing local produce, soaring mountains set on the Pacific Ocean, wine country and ski hills. Nowhere in the world beats it.
