Terms and Conditions

1. Information on how to enter forms part of these terms and conditions of entry.

2. Entry is open to all residents of Australia aged 18 years and over. Employees of the Promoter and their immediate families and agencies associated with this promotion are ineligible to enter.

3. To enter, log onto travelawards.com.au, vote for one nominee in any Travel Awards category, register your details, and in 25 words or less, answer the question, “What do you rate as Australia’s hottest travel experience?”.

4. Voting is limited to one vote per person per category during the promotional period. Competition entry is limited to one entry per person during the promotional period.

5. This is a game of skill; chance plays no part in determining the winner. Each entry will be individually judged based on literary and creative merit. The judges’ decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into. The prize is not transferable or exchangeable and cannot be taken as cash. The Promoter is neither responsible nor liable for any change in the value of the prize occurring between the date of publication and the date the prize is claimed. The prize value mentioned is the recommended retail value as provided by the supplier and is correct at the time of publication.

6. The promotion commences at 10am AEST on 28 March 2011 and closes at 11.59pm AEST on 30 April 2011. The promotion will be judged by a panel of judges. Judging will begin on 16 May 2011 at 11am at the judges’ premises. The winner will be notified by mail using contact details provided in their entry.

7. The best entry as deemed by the judges will win a trip to Le Taha’a Island Resort & Spa, French Polynesia, valued at up to $15,200.00, which includes:

a. Five nights at Relais & Chateaux’s Le Taha’a Island Resort & Spa, French Polynesia, in an overwater suite for two people valued at 886 euro (AU$1222 as of 8 March 2011) per night; total value $6110.

b. One night of accommodation in Papeete, courtesy of Tahiti Tourisme Australia, valued at $700

c. Breakfast and lunch daily at the resort's main restaurant for two people.

8. The next two best entries as deemed by the judges will win a Nespresso Pixie machine valued at $399 per machine.

9. The Nespresso Pixie machine comes with an Aeroccino milk frothing device valued at $129.

10. The total prize pool is worth up to $16,256.

11. The prize is valid until 30 June 2012. It must be redeemed and travel must be completed by this date.

12. Prize components are subject to availability and not transferable.

13. The winner is responsible for items of a personal nature including, but not limited to, phone calls, drinks and meals, petrol, motor vehicle insurance and travel expenses. Except for any liability that cannot be excluded by law, the Promoter (including its officers, employees and agents) excludes all liability (including negligence) for any personal injury or any loss or damage (including loss of opportunity) whether direct, indirect, or consequential, arising in any way out of the Promotion, including but not limited to, where arising out of the following: a) any technical difficulties or equipment malfunctioning (whether or not under the Promoter’s control); b) any theft, unauthorised access or third-party interference; c) any entry or prize claim that is late, lost, altered, damaged or misdirected (whether or not by the Promoter) for any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter; d) any variation in prize value to that stated in these conditions of entry; or e) anything arising out of or in connection with taking or using the prize.
