When the bi-fold doors are retracted at this smartly appointed riverside restaurant, there isn't a more picturesque place in Brisbane to enjoy lunch. As the river laps the rocks below and sun lights up the lofty space, a gun team darts around anticipating and fulfilling diners' needs. Also  impressive: the drinks list. Expertly balanced cocktails, like the Quince Essential, prove hard to resist. Even tougher to ignore are top-notch wines, with rare and unusual options by the 75ml or 150ml pour - consider a 2012 Domaine de la Romanée-Conti Grands Échézeaux, perhaps? Dishes are light: kingfish crudo salty with bottarga and zingy with grapefruit and orange, or expertly grilled John Dory balanced by smoky eggplant purée and pickled mango, beetroot and zucchini. A mango dessert serves up a textural playground of fresh fruit, candied and crumbled pistachio nuts, tart crème fraîche ice-cream and a subtle perilla jelly.
