This is a delicious accompaniment to Christmas pudding or cake. Serve at room temperature.

1.Using an electric mixer, beat butter, sugar and spice for 10 minutes or until pale and fluffy, then gradually add Marsala 1 tsp at a time, beating well after each addition (if added too quickly the mixture may split). Add ginger, whisk to combine, cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate until needed.
