Cereal is out, pancakes are in.

Treat yourself. A good weekend brunch brunch is like a pat on the back for a week well-done. Cereal is out, but waffles are in. Try them sweet with rhubab-rose compote, à la Sydney's Cornersmith, or cheesy and savoury with polenta and fried ham. For a brunch trip around the world, try the colourful smoked mackerel smorrebrod with beetroot salad, or the Sri Lankan-style egg hoppers with sambol and coconut gravy.
