Although native ingredients such as finger lime and saltbush have become ensconced in our modern culinary imaginations, macadamias were arguably one of the first indigenous foods to go mainstream. Both here and abroad, the macadamia is a definite nut A-lister, owing probably to the fact that – while it’s a fantastic snack on its own, it’s a versatile and wonderful ingredients in many recipes.
