We’d recognise those fabric-covered walls anywhere. The exuberantly patterned textiles favoured by designer Anna Spiro in her work at Halcyon House, at New South Wales’ Cabarita Beach, are applied liberally in the hotel’s new day spa. The two-storey retreat has four treatment rooms, a couple of relaxation lounges with terraces and a domed steam bath.
Spiro’s highly photogenic blue-and-white interiors in the hotel’s 21 rooms and public spaces turn shades of green in the spa, where cheerfully mismatched fabrics are teamed with timber, white marble and Moroccan mosaics.
A massage or facial with Sodashi products and Madagascan rose-quartz crystals may be the perfect way to follow lunch at the one-star Paper Daisy.
