This stylish Peruvian restaurant glows invitingly at the bottom of the delightfully louche lane named after AC/DC, slathered in graffiti and loud with the sounds of one of the city's best rock bars. Pastuso has a little rock and roll in its soul too, turning up the volume between lunch and late with a fired-up grill, pisco-fuelled cocktails, lively soundtrack and almost as many dining areas as Peru has climate zones. Couples canoodle over kingfish with parsley salsa at the marble ceviche bar. Diners gnaw alpaca cutlets beside the open kitchen. Groups cram the curved banquettes to savour Pisco Sours. Service keeps the beat at this San Telmo sibling, led by Peruvian chef Alejandro Saravia. Choose the feed-me option or wander the share-friendly menu, from street food like crisp, satin-centred celeriac croquetas to sticky, soft, boned beef ribs on verdant spinach quinoa with griddled padrón peppers. By the time luxe Peruvian chocolate mousse arrives, you'll be a fan.
