Lockdowns were terrible. But some of the innovations they catalysed have changed the way Sydney eats for the better. And over the first two years of the pandemic, world-renowned Paddington seafood fine-diner Saint Peter – and its nearby partner, Fish Butchery – was at the spear’s tip of lockdown takeaway ingenuity.
This Friday, owners and chefs Josh and Julie Niland are launching the next phase of their blooming pandemic-founded takeaway business: Fish Butchery Delivered. If you live in Sydney, you’ll be able to order restaurant-quality fish and seafood; Fish Butchery sausages and charcuterie such as Murray Cod bacon and salmon pastrami. There’s also ready-made dinners such as fish pie and Yellowfin tuna lasagna; and make-at home meal kits – including a tuna cheeseburger four-pack.
Deliveries will go out every Friday. Orders can be placed up to a week in advance until the Tuesday before delivery day. That pre-weekend delivery time slot makes Fish Butchery Delivered an ideal option if you need fish for an upcoming dinner party, or just want to sort out some easy meals for the weekend.
The Fish Butchery Delivered line-up will change each week. “If we receive some beautiful King George Whiting from Bruce Collis in Corner Inlet we want to have them butterflied, crumbed and online that day for our customers,” said Josh Niland in a release.
Fish Butchery Delivered’s first delivery is this Friday, May 13. Orders are open now.
