There are Champagne releases, and then there are moments in time. The arrival of G.H. Mumm’s latest vintage trio, led by the glowingly golden crown jewel RSRV Lalou 2013, is emphatically the latter.

Crafted only in exceptional vintages and released in seriously limited quantities, RSRV Lalou 2013 is more than just a cuvée. It’s a love letter to one of Maison Mumm’s most influential figures — Monsieur René Lalou, a man who helped shape the Maison into one of the most prestigious Champagne houses in France. Lalou was also an unshakable believer that extraordinary moments deserve extraordinary wine.

Only 13 vintages of the RSRV Lalou have ever been released, with the 2013 making its long-anticipated debut just now, over a decade since harvest. Blending Grand Cru Pinot Noir and Chardonnay parcels, and aged a full 10 years in the storied chalk cellars beneath Reims, the RSRV Lalou 2013 ($399.99 RRP) speaks fluently in the language of luxury. In the glass, the Lalou 2013 shimmers with golden hues offering notes of beeswax, brioche, candied citrus and a finish that lingers like a well-told story. It’s a Champagne for those who know their taste — and trust it.

A trio of vintage icons

This release doesn’t stand alone. Alongside Lalou, the Maison has unveiled two additional vintage gems, each with its own distinctive character – inviting you to find the perfect match for your moment.

RSRV Blanc de Noirs 2018 ($199.99 RRP)

Crafted entirely from Pinot Noir grown in the Grand Cru village of Verzenay, this vintage is bold yet impeccably balanced. Candied fruit, toasted almond and a savoury umami finish make it an exciting match for refined dishes, as well as a standout sip on its own.

Mumm Millésimé 2016 ($129.99 RRP)

Rounding out the trio is the Millésimé 2016 – a more accessible yet deeply elegant vintage with its own quiet authority. A harmonious blend of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay aged for five years in Maison Mumm’s ancient cellars, the Champagne delivers honeyed fruit, poached pear and a smoky finish that feels like wrapping yourself in silk.
