Now, the interesting thing is that airport style isn’t necessarily about looking dressed up. It’s about looking deliberately comfortable. While there’s absolutely nothing wrong with travelling in your favourite sweatsuit (no judgement here), there is a change in the air when it comes to your sartorial statement on the tarmac. As we take more interest in airport style, our luggage is surprisingly following suit.
Oroton is leaning into this with the launch of its first owned carry-on luggage. Building on Oroton’s established accessories, leather goods and ready-to-wear collections, the new luggage category is a natural extension of the brand, offering a refined design language that matches seamlessly with a classic airport fit. “We wanted to create something that felt distinctly Oroton: refined, functional and thoughtfully designed, with details that make the experience of travelling feel considered from the outset,” says Sophie Holt, Creative Director at Oroton.
Launching in five core colourways, the luggage is crafted from lightweight polycarbonate with a polished gloss finish and smooth leather detailing. It also has all the bells and whistles of a premium carry-on: a 3kg case with a ribbed shell; leather-wrapped top and side handles; smooth 360-degree spinner wheels; and an integrated TSA lock.
