Method

1.

Heat a large frying pan over high heat. Brush cut side of bread with oil and cook, cut-side down until golden (1 minute); remove and set aside.

Place spices, steak, onion, and garlic in a bowl. Season to taste and mix well to combine.

3.

Heat remaining oil in a large frying pan over high heat. Add steak mixture; cook, stirring occasionally, until beef is charred and onions start to caramelise (6 minutes).

4.

Spread ciabatta with aïoli. Top with beef, pickled guindilla peppers, and rocket. Serve with extra pickled guindilla peppers on the side.

Pickled guindilla peppers are available from specialty food shops.
