We like the mini-me cupcake versions with a classic cream-cheese icing, or the gravity-defying triple-layer carrot cake by dessert queen Christina Tosi. If it’s spice that you seek, make the buttermilk carrot cake with spiced caramel, or the masala carrot cake by Adelaide’s Shirni Parwana. However you slice it, one thing is for sure: carrot cakes never go out of style.
