Yes, The Agrarian Kitchen cooking school has a restaurant spin-off - and you can find it in the Instagram-friendly surrounds of the former New Norfolk asylum. Khaki lino floors hint at the building's former incarnation while contemporary touches include Scandi-themed décor and generous banks of windows. A compact, mostly local wine list invites exploration, but cocktails using handmade elixirs are worth serious consideration (RP1, the sugar-plum ferment and bitters verbena soda, is winter sunlight in a glass). The menu promises seasonal variation, but some things should always remain, such as sourdough potato cakes with vibrant kasundi. Soft polenta with streaky pork and nettle sauce, and smoky cabbage with mussels are satisfying, but it's a cheese dumpling in a thicket of greens that steals the show. Choose your own adventure at lunch, or - better yet - trust the chefs by requesting the long table's set-menu dinner for a palate-expanding meal.
